Education has been moving rapidly towards embracing the technological advances that we have access to in these modern times. We now have the ability to access everything from a webinar on parenting to a Master's degree in education all via web-based technologies.

We are seeing trends emerge in the arena of mobile training; an on-demand, anywhere/anytime type of learning. As we see the model of brick and mortar schools become replaced with the virtual classroom, we are also witnessing a trend of micro-learning emerge, short-brief lessons designed to target just one learning objective. As our ways of obtaining information and skills shift, these trends in how we learn are giving access to students where it might not have been thought possible 20 years ago. Students are now able to get together virtually, either one-on-one or in large groups, from anywhere in the world so long as you have a decent internet connection and a device to connect on. With the access that this trend in learning and collaboration is currently providing, I don't believe we are going to be seeing end to this learning platform any time soon.
