In this immediate climate of viral contagion, as instructors, we are now being asked to move our learning platforms to a virtual and mobile platform to increase the recommendation of social distancing to reduce our spread of the disease. This move has been moving the 'trend' of mobile learning to a requirement for post secondary institutions to have the ability to assist students in completing their education in the time that has been allotted. As some forms of mobile learning can be self-directed and self-paced, there is often a finite amount of time to be able to complete the required lessons as per assessment guidelines. Having the ability to move face to face classes to alternate formats that student can access online from any location with access to the internet can assist students to complete the required courses without this affecting their timeline of study.

As an instructor who is tasked with solely instructing online, the recent turn of events for post secondary institutions in BC has not had an enormous impact on me individually however, my fellow colleagues are feeling the impact as they scramble to move their content to an online platform. For instructors who may not be savvy in this world of online instructing, it can be a shift in their mind set to find the flow of guiding their student to the finish line. Likewise, students not used to online learning may have to shift their own learning styles and schedules to make it to the end with the achievements they hope to have gained.
